BlueFingerprint® was founded in 2001 by a national general contractor who specialized in senior living construction and saw the need to better manage personalization.
The business quickly expanded and BlueFingerprint became a standalone company in 2010, providing project teams a centralized and efficient way to manage the process. Serving as a seamless collaboration solution, BlueFingerprint helps to eliminate persistent cost overruns, missed deadlines, poor communication, and mistakes by simplifying the process and boosting community marketability.
Today, BlueFingerprint is still led by the company’s original innovators. We continue to partner with senior living providers across the country to manage the personalization process for new construction projects and ongoing renovations to maximize unit turns.
As BlueFingerprint’s Advising Partner, David leads and inspires our team to be their best each day. His focus is on gathering great people to build great organizations to do great things. And he believes we should all celebrate and enjoy the journey along the way. David’s experience as a serial Business Builder has resulted in several significant successes—and some less significant moments that were nonetheless good experiences. He feels truly blessed to have traveled the past 13+ years with the talented people on the BlueFingerprint Team.
Melissa King serves as Managing Partner for BlueFingerprint, the software and service that she founded in 2001. Her 30+ years of experience in sales, marketing, advertising, project management, and construction services results in extensive knowledge of the personalization space for our clients. When she’s not helping senior living communities streamline personalization choices, she and her husband Steve cheer on their children in various collegiate and high school sports. And each summer Melissa’s family continues their tour of the U.S., checking off states as they go—only 9 more!
Since 2005, Suzanne Allen has helped project teams streamline the personalization process as a Managing Partner at BlueFingerprint. One of the original founders of our company, Suzanne focuses on building relationships with key clients and leading efforts on their renovation projects with BlueFingerprint Renovate. She’s passionate about personalization—even in her own home as she constantly creates new projects for her husband, John. They live in West Des Moines and have two grown children.
Todd Schatzberg is BlueFingerprint’s Marketing Director. He honed his skills as a strategic thinker, and marketing and branding expert during his 25+ years in the advertising industry. Todd worked for two of Iowa’s largest advertising agencies before launching his own full-service agency, Red Dot Advertising + Design, in 2001. After selling Red Dot, he joined the BlueFingerprint team in 2020 to help grow the brand and implement a sales and marketing program. Throughout his career, Todd has developed effective and memorable marketing campaigns for a wide range of clients from start-up firms to Fortune 50 companies.
Nancy Gion is an integral member of the BlueFingerprint team, serving as both Finance Manager and Implementation Specialist since 2010. As Finance Manager, Nancy is responsible for all financial transactions, including projections and cashflow. She also analyzes the company’s financial strength and decision-making based on this analysis (Think CFO-lite). She also provides support to the team as an Implementation Specialist, working with clients to set up and develop their projects in the system and providing ongoing support throughout the lifespan of the project. Nancy lives in West Des Moines with her husband Dave, their three daughters and two crazy dogs.
